Interwebs Goods

I will have to say that September has been a fairly eventful month. Finishing up a few projects for work, they should be published within October, and starting up on new projects that will make processing documents, client issues, etc easier and efficient for both ends. At least with these I can get jiggy with some new coding goods I’m trying out. For instance making more user friendly forms that make sure the user puts in only digits in some fields. I don’t often do JS, and I’m still taking personal studies to improve. I like to get every chance to make some nice vivid flash buttons that come with cute (and professional) animations when the user mouses-over them.

For Ciao Studios, I’ve been working on a new layout that will make up for the current blobby layout. I’ve also posted a mobile layout (basic html & css) that is now live, but not posted on the site. Almost all the same stuff that the new layout will have, except the Flash gallery. Folks can go ahead and view the mobile site here: http://mobile.ciaostudios.com

Once placed on the beta testing field of the server. I’ll later on post an event thing to get some nice volunteers to help me shoo out some bugs. There’s quite a bit to test, so in result I’ll probably reward the folks who’ve volunteered with a custom illustration.

In the meantime I need to get some more content for the site along with Café Press. Just some simple illustrations for the gallery, and post some designs to start off at some simple goods for the Café Press.

Ciao!

Here's a quick overview of things for last month.
San Diego was bloody awesome. Me, my sister & her BF went out quite a bit. We went our own way at comic con. I found a few neat goods for keeps and met some curious artists.
I met some friendly folks I quite know online and we ate with some of em' later on. Mainly we chilled at the Egyptian Tea Bar, which pretty much was a cute little restaurant + hookah bar. Their sammiches are good as well their coffees. <3

College - working through this all summer, just started my courses for Supervisory and Behavioral Psychology. So far its easier when the classes are somewhat relevant. The info pretty much supports each other.
Work - I don’t' want to talk about that now.
Other personal goodies: Ordered a new hookah base and some minty tobacco.

Current times:

Bit of hectic times, though I have managed to push my online portfolio thingy live yesterday. http://www.ciaostudios.com
I had the hosting for a while, though haven't had time to finish up the goods. In addition there are a few external goods that'll link to my Cafe' Press(no goods yet), and my free web goods site. Free web goods, is a site to where anyone can get free backgrounds, loading images, bullets, icons, and even web templates. I make extra graphics, so it seems nice to make a place to give em' out to folks. For Cafe' Press I plan to start off light, something like buttons. They'll have my art-work on em' once I get them done. It would be weird to have my web works on the stuff....heh.

The logo on the site is something for now until I can refine it a bit more. Unfortunately this may take long since I'm finicky about design concepts.

It'll be long tell I'll upload anything on any gallery since work is at it's hectic times as well my computer is busted hardware & software wise. I'm not sure if I should get it looked at or just replace it. It does also reflect about my work/college as well, if I need to get a new one I'll need new professional OS + pc components.

Enough geek talk. Here are some art goodies I've sketched recently:

<--was messin around in paint chat, some other dude drew some cute crabs.

Been a bit busy finishing up some final projects at work so I can take this week off and head on off to Calli. Probably get some drinks and check out the sites over thar.

I'll still have to do homework even if I'm on vacation, thank you internet college...

I've killed some time earlier by making a nice book for my sis' portfolio since she is busy at her job thing and getting her refs together.

I've taken photos of the process, it's a basic book model that has an old-school design to it. The cloth took forever to dry...since I've had to stain it and such.

Ciao,

meh, tis been a while since I've posted here. Well here's a bit of a catch up on my recent ventures.

I've been away in the world o' work & school. I've finally submitted my final projects and started my brief summer break from school. Normally I do homework during lunch, so I suppose I can work on bettering myself in Java and work on my portfolio.
My tongue piercing finally healed, I can eat solids very well. To be honest the duration of the healing time (even if the piercing is well taken care of) is longer than recommended. I recommend for folks getting it pierced may want to plan on a soup-diet for a few months -- at least you'll loose those extra pounds.

My older sibling is been doing some recent traveling all over the US, visiting friends and whatnot. Hey, if I had a job I can work from home I be doing some traveling as well. I might look into a job that I can perform on a laptop while doing some traveling. I am a professional webmaster/designer, also working my way up into programming. I can get the social aspect of my profession via VOIP if necessary.
Yet I do feel it's essential to get the feel for working in an office for my age. I started my bloody career at the age o' 20.

Meh, tis been a while since I've worked on my art goods. I have been working on buildings and perspectives recently, though not the way you may think. There's this place called whirled, you can create your own rooms, buildings and such. They have this application to where you can set your building's perspective on how far the folks can walk in it. It strongly considers the horizon and the depth of the field. I still am pretty mediocre in my work.
I do like the games the folks have created. "Captions" is so far my favorite.

well enough chitty chatter about my personal life, here's a sketch work recently done:

tis been a while since I've been up here. I've been away too long in work and Java.
I've been taking much of my extra time learning Java programming to pass my current course (I can see why it's the only one listed for the semester, this stuff is deep).
It's pretty quick to get if you already know either web based coding such as CSS, AS2, or JS. I hope to find or create the Java code that enables the preventable screenshot function. My only intentions with this are to protect my portfolio from art thieves.
My portfolio ciao studios is currently under construction. I'm revamping the layout to something more fitting, and revising the overall content. Here's a hint of the new layout, dark chocolate mint.
All my layouts are based on my favorite treats, the previous one was coffee luv. I have to have fun when designing layout, otherwise what's the point?

I'll be working on my sis's portfolio when she has some free time from work. I've already made preparations for the site. The only thing left is to discuss the content of the site with her.

Enough blah blah blah, here is a quick sketch for now.

Yadda yadda yadda

Work has been going good now. I am glad that I had this chance to get this job, especially considering that there are not many technical jobs around this area. I was quite scared and nervous at the first two weeks of the job. Now I'm currently comfortable working and getting to know the folks around here (they all have great personalities). So its been doing great so far. C:

awhahaha, I do find it funny that I am pretty much the youngest employee here, I am perhaps a bit younger than a few of the work study students who go here. XD

I have been learning so much as I update the site and other tasks of the office.

At home things have been alright, I have been helping out with my sisters a bit. I do not mind doing this since I am there older sister and since I am their older sister I have to be a good role-modle as well guide my sisters to a good path. I have offered them a pamphlet that is about this academy that I have went to. The academy is a great place to learn at and they offer great classes. The classes offer credits for each of them.

My college has been doing alright so far. I have been catching up on homework during lunch. I find this the best time since I have more focus during this time. c:

I'm starting work tomorrow. Yeah it was extremely fast on how I got this job. I have been looking for jobs since April. Its basically a temp job, but I can work up from it to where I can be able to get a solid position. The job is all technical with doing basic updates on the site and other related stuff.

Recent doodle:

new username + stuff....huzzah

My previous user name (account) was little_horrors. I switched to this name since it'll be more relevant to what I'll be posting. They're stuff I sketch now-and-then whenever there's extra time in the day. :\

First 3 images for sketchdump13. Other 2 images are linked so the load won't be so slow.
